OPTI-SLIN is a complex formula to optimize the management of glucose and insulin.
4-HYDROXYISOLEUCINE extracted from Fenugreek activates both insulin signaling and insulin secretion. It has a glucose-dependent insulin-stimulating effect that promotes muscle cell glucose uptake and glycogen synthesis.
ALPHA LIPOIC ACID is a universal antioxidant and nutrient partitioning agent that improves mitochondrial function, insulin sensitivity and the formation of glycogen in muscles.
CINNAMON EXTRACT improves the action of insulin by increasing the glucose uptake by the cells and enhances the insulin-signaling pathway in muscle. It also lowers fasting plasma glucose levels.
CHROMIUM is an essential nutrient involved in carbohydrate metabolism. CHROMIUM levels may decrease with age and from exercise. CHROMIUM requirements are increased with glucose intolerance (lowered insulin sensitivity) and diabetes. It is recommended to enhance glucose disposal and insulin function.
DIRECTIONS: Take 2 capsules 1-3 times a day 30 minutes before carbohydrate containing meals. Can be used to enhance utilization of supplement ingredients like creatine.
